Every year, the Carlsbad Board of Realtors holds an awards banquet where new officers for the board are installed, and top producers are recognized and receive awards. Aside from a time of socialization among realtors and property managers from different local offices, community partners that the offices work with are invited. A silent auction was part of the festivities, raising funds for a local memorial foundation.

“Each year, one of the offices hosts our annual banquet,” said Lisa Vlosich, 2024 President of the Carlsbad Board of Realtors. “This year’s banquet was hosted by United Property, RE/MAX, and Keller Williams Affinity. These ladies did a great job, and I was honored that they included me in this process,” she said.

“We do this annually. It is an installation of our new officers, plus awards for all the realtors that produced over a million dollars’ worth of sales,” said Vlosich.

In addition to recognizing top-producing realtors, she said, “We also celebrated our property managers. They work harder than the realtors because they are on call 24/7, and they handle multiple properties, so we really wanted to celebrate the property managers here in Carlsbad as well,” she said.

At this year’s banquet, held February 1 at Riverside Country Club, 53 realtors received awards as million-dollar producers, with nine property managers recognized, as disclosed in the list of award winners provided by Vlosich.

Board members and officers installed for 2025 include Kerri Fowler (President); Dominic Longoria (Vice President); Megan Carpenter (Treasurer); Fabiola Jaure (Secretary); and Board of Directors Esme Bernal, Robin Rammoccotti, and Jessica Vasquez; and Valen Martinez (New Mexico Association of Realtors Board of Director).

“We did a silent auction where all the proceeds from this auction will be donated by the Carlsbad Board of Realtors to The Madison Lee Foundation,” said Vlosich. “We were able to collect $2,800,” she said.

She explained what the Carlsbad Board of Realtors is. “It is an association of all of the realtors in town, not just one office, but the number of offices we have.” The way the Board of Realtors is established, she said, all of the realtors are on the same level. “It’s almost like a sisterhood/brotherhood community; we try to help each other,” she said.

“The local board is an offshoot of the New Mexico Association of Realtors, and that is an offshoot of the National Association of Realtors. The National Association of Realtors is the largest trade organization in America,” said Kerri Fowler.

“We have the president of NMAR come down and install all of our new officers; this is when they officially take their positions on our board,” said Vlosich.

As the 2024 President, she said, “I wanted to start a Presential Award in hopes that it will pass on each year.” She said it is for either an individual or office that really stood out throughout the year with fundraisers, attendance at board meetings, and participation. “It is someone that I just wanted to say thank you to,” she said. She chose Century 21 Dunagan Associates for this award.

“The second award we presented was to Dunagan’s. They are celebrating their 100th year in business; it’s a milestone. I wanted to honor them with an award as well,” said Vlosich.
