The Carlsbad girls finished third and the boys were second at State this past weekend at Powerlifting in Rio Rancho.

Girls: Shayla Milian-Morales fourth place, Parris Weldon third place, Campbell Foster first place, Atria Wells first place, Cassandra Bielstein 6th place, Sophia Trujillo 4th place.

Boys: Aiden Rodriguez first place, Brayan Torres fourth place, RJay Navarrette fourth place, Jeremiah Sonora first place, Jeremy Vargas first place, Reenson Akwiembi first place, Triston Munoz sixth place, Jaleel Childress fifth place, Colton McKibben third place, Sean Cruz third place.
