Nine Cavegirls Selected for All-District Honors

Head soccer coach Misty Long recently released the names of this year’s Cavegirls selected for All-District Honors and Team Awards.

Overall, nine girls received conference recognition for their play in 2024.

Top honors went to Abbey Dugan, Hayden Brose, and Cassie Bielston. All three girls were chosen for this year’s Class 4/5A All-District first team and were named as recipients of three of the Cavegirls’ most prestigious team awards.

Dugan was named this year’s Most Valuable Player, Hayden Brose was selected as CHS’s Offensive Player of the Year, and Cassie Bielston was recognized as the Cavegirl’s Defensive Player of the Year.

The following is a list of all the Cavegirls who received post-season honors for their play this past season.

All –District 4-5A Teams:

1st team

Hayden Brose, Forward

Abbey Dugan, Midfield

Cassie Bielstein, Defender


2nd team

Emma Allen, Forward

Thalia Payanes, Midfield

Natalia Franco, Midfield

Ariyana Rogers, Defender

McKenzie “Shay” McAvoy, Keeper

Midfield Meagan McKibben, Defender
